Gift Aid
Your donations to CYTO could be worth more at no extra cost to you
- What is Gift Aid?
Gift Aid is a government initiative that allows charities like CYTO to reclaim basic rate tax (25%) on donations made by UK taxpayers.
For instance, if someone donated £100 to CYTO, we could claim an additional £25 back in Gift Aid. The donor does not pay anything extra, and in this example, the donor gives £100, and the charity receives £125.
Your home address is needed to identify you as a current UK taxpayer.

- How do I sign up for Gift Aid?
If you are a UK standard-rate (20%) taxpayer and donate to CYTO, you can sign up by completing the Declaration Form on this page.
- Can I email you a PDF version of the Declaration Form instead?
Of course - you can download the PDF version of our Gift Aid Declaration Form HERE and email it to us at andrewmcpherson@cyto.org.uk
Please notify us by emailing andrewmcpherson@cyto.org.uk if you: ï‚·
- want to cancel this declaration ï‚·
- change your name or home address ï‚·
- no longer pay sufficient tax on your income and/or capital gains
Please note:
If you pay Income Tax at the higher or additional rate and want to receive the additional tax relief due to you, you must include all your Gift Aid donations on your Self-Assessment tax return or ask HM Revenue and Customs to adjust your tax code.

If you pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on your donations in any tax year, you will be responsible to pay the difference.
