We are very excited to be partnering up with Eastside Educational Trust again in 2018 to deliver the final set of youth theatre clubs for young people from secondary schools in Croydon.

This is an exciting learning opportunity for a group of your talented, creative and dedicated students who have an interest in the dramatic arts; Croydon Youth Theatre Organisation (CYTO) are offering a number of free six-week drama after school clubs for students aged 13-15 to a number of schools in your borough.

This is your chance to nominate your most talented, motivated pupils with a passion to extend their drama practise and provide them with the opportunity to work with your local Youth Theatre, which may even lead to becoming a member. For more details about the programme, please click here.

What does it cover?

Participants will have taster sessions in characterisation, improvisation and story making, and will create a short devised pieces on the subject of ‘community’. These are all aimed to spark an interest and enjoyment of drama lead by talented and professional drama practitioners from Eastside Educational Trust.

On the final week, the students will share their piece at the Shoestring Theatre in front of their friends and family, the other schools on the project, and members of CYTO.
